25. Charles WHITMAN. Born in 1783 in Annapolis, NS. Charles died on 13 Mar 1850, he was 67. Buried in New Albany Cemetery #15.

Charles married Lois DYKEMAN, in Annapolis, NS. Born in 1784. Lois died on 25 Mar 1861, she was 77. Buried in New Albany Cemetery #20.

They had the following children:

v. James Edward. Born in 1819. James Edward died on 6 Feb 1902, he was 83. Buried in New Albany Cemetery #20.

James Edward married Salome. Born in 1824. Salome died on 1 Feb 1900, she was 76. Buried in New Albany Cemetery #20.

In 1844 when Dorothy Whitman was 21, she married Silas NEWCOMB[2].

iii. Margaret H.[2]. Born in 1827.

In 1853 when Margaret H. was 26, she married Charles HUBBARD[2].
iv. William H.[2]. Born in 1829.

William H. married Matilda MUNSON[2].
v. James E.[2]. Born in 1831. James E. died in 1881, he was 50.

31. Edward WHITMAN Jr. Born in Annapolis, NS. Edward died in presumably at sea.

Edward and his brother-in-law, C. K. Prince, built a vessel and it sailed with Edward as Captain, bound for Antigua on 31 Dec. 1817. Neither the ship or the men were ever heard from again.

In 1808 Edward married Elizabeth Tileston (PRINCE) CAGNEY, daughter of Christopher PRINCE & Ann PAYSON.[3]

They had the following children:
i. William Cagney[4],[3]. Born in 1809.

William Cagney married Caroline BELYEA[3]. Born in New Brunswick, Canada.
ii. Eliza[3]. Born in 1812.[2]

In 1812 Dorothea married Ferdinand SHAFFNER[3], son of Ferinand SHAFFNER & Barbara HAUBOLD.[3] Born bef 20 Aug 1790. Ferdinand died in 1829, he was 38.
