36. Letitia WHITMAN.[4] Born on 26 Jun 1785.

On 9 May 1816 when Letitia was 30, she married William SPURR[3], son of Michael SPURR & Diadama MORSE.[4] Born bef Dec 1791.

They had the following children:

ii. Elizabeth[4]. Born on 14 Jan 1818. Elizabeth died on 24 Aug 1884, she was 66.

Elizabeth married Moses SHAW[4], son of Moses SHAW & Phoebe MOORE. Born on 13 Apr 1809. Moses died on 23 Jan 1870, he was 60.

37. Elnathan WHITMAN.[4] Born on 18 Nov 1785. Elnathan died in 1868, he was 82.

In 1812 when Elnathan was 26, he first married Eleanor E. SPURR[9], daughter of Thomas SPURR & Mary HOOD. Eleanor E. died in 1824.

They had the following children:

ii. William Esmond[3]. Born in 1816. William Esmond died in lost at sea.
iii. Charles Bailey[3]. Born in 1817.

Charles Bailey married Jane (TUPPER) CHIPMAN[3].
iv. George[3]. Born on 3 Apr 1823.

George married Mary Arabella BOICE / ROYCE[4],[3].
v. Edward[4]. Born on 29 Jul 1819. Edward died in 1820.

In 1812 when Elnathan was 26, he second married Charlotte TUPPER[3].

They had one child:
i. Maria Louisa[2],[3]. Born in 1831.

Maria Louisa married Capt. Samuel BOGART[3].

38. James WHITMAN.[4] Born abt 1790. James died on 18 Nov 1859, he was 69.

James married Elizabeth Ann BAILEY[4], daughter of Jacob BAILEY. Born abt 1792. Elizabeth Ann died on 25 May 1861, she was 69.

They had one child:
i. James Alfred[2]. Born in 1831.

James Alfred married Jane McLAUGHLIN[2].

39. Maria WHITMAN.[4] Born on 19 Jun 1796.[4],[2]

On 20 Oct 1814 when Maria was 18, she married Robert SPURR[3], son of Thomas SPURR & Mary HOOD.[4] Born in 1791. Robert died on 15 May 1869, he was 78.

They had the following children:
i. Anna Rice[2],[3]. Born in 1816.[4] Anna Rice died in 1834, she was 18.

v. Alfred Whitman[4],[3]. Born in 1821. Alfred Whitman died in 1850, he was 29.

In 1847 when Robert James was 23, he married Margaret LECAIN[3], daughter of Charles LECAIN & Maria Eliza MENCE.[2] Born on 31 Dec 1826.
vii. Edward or Edmund Phelan[3]. Born in 1826. Edward or Edmund Phelan died in 1830, he was 4.

William Henry married Abigail DOW[3].
ix. Charles Edward[3]. Born in 1829.[4]

Charles Edward married Margaret TUPPER[3].

Seraphina Maria married James W. HARRINGTON[4],[3].

Bernard married Eugenia BOGART[3].
xii. Charlotte Letitia[4],[3]. Born in 1837.

Charlotte Letitia first married Thomas Lovett BISHOP[2],[3].

Charlotte Letitia second married T. Vernon SMITH[3].
xiii. Thomas[3]. Born in 1845.[4]

Thomas married Susan ELLIOT[3].

40. Hon. Alfred WHITMAN.[4] Born in 1798. Alfred died on 27 Jan 1861, he was 63.

On 22 Sep 1825 when Alfred was 27, he married Jane SPURR[3], daughter of Thomas SPURR & Mary HOOD.[4] Born in 1801.

They had the following children:
i. Mary Elizabeth[3]. Born on 4 Jul 1827.

Mary Elizabeth married William A. ISLES[2].
ii. Margaret[3]. Born on 23 Jan 1829.[4]

Margaret married Henry H. SWYMMER[2],[3].
iii. Edmund Spurr[3]. Born on 20 Sep 1830.[4]

Edmund Spurr married Jane CROSBY[2].
iv. Alfred[3]. Born on 27 May 1833.

In 1860 when Alfred was 26, he married Sarah A. ANDREWS[3].[2]
v. Eleanor[3]. Born on 9 Feb 1835.

Eleanor married James DeWolfe SPURR[3], son of William SPURR & Amelia DEWOLFE.
vi. Henry[3]. Born on 5 Aug 1839.

Henry married Sarah WYMAN[2].

41. Dorinda WHITMAN.[4] Born on 29 Sep 1800.

In 1830 when Dorinda was 29, she married Capt. John McDORMAND[4], son of Thomas McDORMAND & Louisa WEBBER.

They had the following children:

John Whitman married Emily BARTEAUX[2].
ii. Elizabeth[2]. Born in 1833.

In 1850 when Elizabeth was 17, she married Samuel McCORMICK[2].
iii. Anna Spurr[2]. Born in 1834. Anna Spurr died in 1836, she was 2.
iv. UNNAMED[2]. Born on 6 Nov 1835.  died on 23 Nov 1835.
v. James[2]. Born in 1837.

James married Annie NICHOL[2].
vi. Charles[2]. Born on 7 Jul 1839. Charles died on 29 Jul 1839.
vii. Annie[2]. Born in 1840.

Annie married Charles WHITMAN[2].
viii. Edward Elnathan[2]. Born in 1841.

Edward Elnathan married Erena E. HEALY[2].
