I am completely confused as to whether the Sophia Tupper (wife #1) and Sophia (Tupper) Prentiss (wife #3) are the same person.

On 1 Jan 1805 when Henry was 24, he first married Eleanor STARRATT[4],[3], daughter of John STARRATT & Hannah BANCROFT.[7] Born on 17 Jul 1785.[4],[7] Eleanor died in Paradise, Annapolis, NS on 26 Mar 1818, she was 32.

They had the following children:
i. James Harvey[7]. Born on 31 Oct 1805. James Harvey died on 4 May 1825, he was 19. Buried in Paradise 1 Cemetery.

ii. Salome[7]. Born in 1802. Salome died in 1827, she was 25.

Henry second married Sophia TUPPER[3], daughter of Nathan TUPPER (1757-1832) & Lydia FREEMAN (1760-1834).

I am quite confused by the marriages of Henry Parker..
He married (1) Sophia Tupper, (2) Elanor Starratt, and (3) Sophia (Tupper) Prentiss.
(or Prentice) Whether or not the two Sophias were somehow one and the same person, I cannot tell. Sometimes, I guess there are mysterious areas :) If anyone has any further information on this family group, please let me know.

On 5 Feb 1833 when Matilda Aves was 20, she married Benjamin PARKER[7]. Born on 8 Jun 1805 in North Brookfield, Queens, NS.[7]
ii. George Starratt[7],[4]. Born on 19 May 1820 in Liverpool, Queens, NS. George Starratt died on 20 Jun 1888, he was 68.[7] Buried in Liverpool United Baptist Cem.[7]

George was a contractor, master builder, owner of ships, and one of the founders of Liverpool, NS.

George Starratt first married Susan SMITH[7],[4]. Susan died on 11 Aug 1917 in Pleasant River, Queens, NS.

On 15 Oct 1834 when George Starratt was 14, he second married Abigail PAYZANT[4], daughter of Henry PAYZANT & Abigail TUPPER. Born on 26 Mar 1812 in Liverpool, Queens, NS. Abigail died on 25 Jan 1884, she was 71.

vii. Eleanor[7]. Born on 17 Jan 1824. Eleanor died in Liverpool, NS on 21 Dec 1850, she was 26.

On 13 Jun 1844 when Eleanor was 20, she married William Thomas CHRISTOPHER[7]. William Thomas died on 28 Mar 1864 in Brookfield, Queens, NS.

On 2 Jun 1845 when ( Martha )Sophia was 19, she married Elnathan CHRISTOPHER[7].
ix. Charlotte Tupper[7]. Born on 14 Oct 1829.

On 2 Jun 1846 when Charlotte Tupper was 16, she married Charles Henry OAKES[7], son of Phineas OAKES & Rachel LOVETT. Born on 15 Nov 1819 in New Albany, Annapolis, NS.

In 1822 when Henry was 41, he third married Sophia (Tupper) PRENTISS[7],[8]. Born on 4 Sep 1793.[7] Sophia (Tupper) died in New Albany, Annapolis, NS on 28 Jul 1849, she was 55.

They had one child:
i. Elizabeth. Born abt 1823. Elizabeth died in Brookfield, Queens, NS on 21 Dec 1850, she was 27.

Elizabeth married M. J. CHRISTOPHER.

43. Elizabeth PARKER.[4] Born on 14 Sep 1781. Elizabeth died in Bear River, Digby, NS on 21 May 1866, she was 84.[7]

In 1800 when Elizabeth was 18, she first married Church MORSE[3], son of Abner MORSE & Elizabeth SAUNDERS, in Nictaux, Annapolis, NS.[4] Born on 12 Dec 1776 in Bridgetown, Annapolis, NS.

Jonathan married Elizabeth SPINNEY[7], daughter of Samuel SPINNEY & Hannah SMITH. Born on 13 Nov 1769.

In 1825 when Helen was 23, she married Abner PARKER[4], son of Nathaniel PARKER Jr. & Diadama MORSE.

Beniah first married Elizabeth ROBINSON[4], daughter of John ROBINSON.

Beniah second married Elizabeth CUTLER[4].

Nathaniel Parker first married Margaret Elizabebth ELLIOT[4], daughter of Israel ELLIOT & Hopestead BARNABY.

Nathaniel Parker second married Mary Ann ROACH[4], daughter of James ROACH & Phebe FOSTER.

Abner married Mary Elizabeth PURDY[4], daughter of Elijah PURDY & Mary Elizabeth Henrietta SCHENK. Born in 1808.

Elizabeth second married Samuel FELCH[3].

i. Eunice Salome[7]. Born in 1824. Eunice Salome died on 30 Oct 1904, she was 80.

In 1843 when Eunice Salome was 19, she married Joseph Lovett McKENNA.

On 20 Nov 1801 when Parney was 18, she married Abel WHEELOCK Jr., son of Abel WHEELOCK & Sarah FOSTER. Born on 23 Apr 1777.

i. Samuel[7],[4]. Born on 20 Feb 1803. Samuel died on 27 Feb 1872, he was 69.

On 31 Dec 1829 when Samuel was 26, he married Eliza Ann BARTEAUX[4], daughter of Charles BARTEAUX & Mary ROBINSON. Born on 23 Mar 1803 in Torbrook, Annapolis, NS. Eliza Ann died in Torbrook, Annapolis, NS on 26 Jan 1886, she was 82.
ii. Lucinda[4]. Born on 22 Sep 1804. Lucinda died on 28 Jan 1827, she was 22.

viii. Minetta (Mittie)[4]. Born on 15 Jul 1816.

Minetta (Mittie) married James P. WISWALL[4], son of John WISWALL & Hesdeliah CUTLER. Born in 1801. James P. died in 1878, he was 77.
ix. Ezekiel Cleveland[4]. Born on 3 Oct 1818.

Ezekiel Cleveland married Amy Elizabeth DODGE[4], daughter of Charles DODGE & Margaret RULOFFSON. Born in 1824.

45. Irene PARKER.[4] Born on 27 Nov 1785. Irene died in 1823, she was 37.

Irene married Hugh GRIMES[3], son of Patrick GRIMES.

On 3 Dec 1829 when Irene was 19, she married Stephen PARKER[4], in Wilmot, Annapolis Co., NS. Born on 9 Mar 1802 in Wilmot, Annapolis Co., NS. Stephen died in Harbourville, Kings, NS on 22 Nov 1881, he was 79. Buried in Burlington Cemetery, Kings Co., NS.
vi. Wellington[7]. Born on 24 Feb 1813.

Wellington second married Anna EMMONS[2].

46. Lovejoy (Lovefry) PARKER.[4] Born on 7 Mar 1790.[7] Lovejoy (Lovefry) died in Milton, Queens Co., NS in Apr 1836, she was 46.

Lovejoy (Lovefry) first married Simeon FREEMAN[7],[9], son of Simeon FREEMAN & Patience WOOD. Born in 1762. Simeon died in 1847, he was 85.

They had one child:
i. Joseph Bent[7]. Born on 10 Sep 1829 in Milton, Queens Co., NS.

Joseph Bent married Mary Eliza DEXTER[2].

On 1 Sep 1808 when Lovejoy (Lovefry) was 18, she second married Capt. Beriah BENT[7],[3], son of Micah BENT & Abigail HARRINGTON, in Nictaux, Annapolis, NS. Born on 11 Feb 1788 in Annapolis Royal, Annapolis Co., NS. Beriah died in at sea in 1820, he was 31.

They had the following children:
i. Harriett[7]. Born on 29 Dec 1809. Harriett died on 6 May 1847, she was 37.

On 13 Feb 1827 when Harriett was 17, she married William STARRATT[7].
ii. Charlotte[7]. Born on 22 Dec 1811. Charlotte died in 1822, she was 10.
iii. Mary Eliza[7]. Born on 24 May 1814 in New Albany, Annapolis, NS.

In 1833 when Mary Eliza was 18, she married Allan Tupper FREEMAN[7].
iv. William Allen (or Beriah)[7]. Born on 11 Nov 1816. William Allen (or Beriah) died in 1843, he was 26.
v. Abigail Salome[7]. Born on 17 Sep 1817. Abigail Salome died in 1822, she was 4.

Abigail Salome married William STARRATT[4], son of William STARRATT & Susanna LEONARD.

47. Charlotte PARKER.[7],[4] Born on 26 Dec 1792 in Nictaux, Annapolis, NS. Charlotte died in Canning, Kings Co., NS on 9 Sep 1863, she was 70.

Settled in Harmony, Queens Co., NS. Liverpool

In 1816 when Charlotte was 23, she married Dea. Zoeth FREEMAN[7],[3], son of Peleg FREEMAN (1758-1843) & Hannah DOANE (1764-).[10] Born on 14 Jan 1794 in Brookfield, Queens Co., NS. Zoeth died in Brookfield, Queens Co., NS on 14 Jan 1848, he was 54.

A leading and influential citizen of the town and Deacon of the Baptist Church from the time of its formation.[Parker in America, page 301] The Freeman Genealogy reports he had a family of 16 children and settled in Harmony, Queens County, NS [Parker, Major Nathaniel, July, 1998.FTW]

On 27 Sep 1857 when David was 36, he married Ann Eliza PARKER[7], in Halifax, Halifax, Co., NS.[10],[7] Born on 1 Nov 1832 in Berwick, Kings Co., NS. Ann Eliza died in Citra, Marion Co., FL on 25 Nov 1884, she was 52.

In 1858 when Hannah was 28, she married John F. ROCHE[7].
vi. Augustus[7]. Born on 2 May 1831.

In 1863 when Augustus was 31, he married Elizabeth SMITH[7].

Maynard Parker first married May SELDEN[7].

abt 1867 when Maynard Parker was 33, he second married Sarah Rebecca Cogswell RANDALL[7]. Born in 1846.
viii. Zenas S.[7]. Born on 4 Sep 1835. Zenas S. died on 2 Mar 1856, she was 20.

48. Letitia PARKER.[4] Born on 28 May 1794 in Nictaux, Annapolis, NS. Letitia died in Brookfield, Queens Co., NS on 24 May 1880, she was 85.

On 1 Jul 1818 when Letitia was 24, she married Donald MACPHERSON[11],[7].

On 22 Dec 1852 when David Harris was 21, he married Lavinia PARKER[7]. Born on 22 May 1830 in Nictaux, Annapolis, NS. Lavinia died in Brookfield, Queens Co., NS on 17 Jan 1913, she was 82.
ii. Mary Ann[2]. Born in 1819.

Mary Ann married Alfred MUNROE[2].
iii. Charlotte Irene[2]. Born in 1823.

In 1841 when Charlotte Irene was 18, she first married John McPHERSON[2].

Charlotte Irene second married Thomas Kempton FREEMAN[2].
iv. Beriah Bent[2]. Born in 1825.

Beriah Bent married Catherine A. WHEELOCK[2].
v. Elizabeth Jane[2]. Born in 1827. Elizabeth Jane died in 1843, she was 16.

In 1853 when Love F. was 17, she married Peter KATHERNE[2].

49. Maynard PARKER.[4] Born in 1795. Maynard died in Upper Londonderry, NS on 15 Jan 1860, he was 65.

From "Parker in America", p. 301:
"He first settled in Annapolis. In 1832 he removed to Lunenburg; later to have a church at LaHave and, in 1841, settled at Pugwash, where he remained until 1852, when he removed to Londonderry; he was settled there until he died c. 1857; his widow died shortly after. He was considered a very able pastor and preached most acceptable in his different charges."

Early in the 1820s Maynard purchased 100 acres of land at Clevelands from his father-in-law Shippy Spurr. The undated deed was recorded 6 March, 1824 (Annapolis County Deed Book #21 p 448). On January 21 of 1824 he had purchased 150 acres on Lot 40 in the second division. He now had 250 acres of land next to John Cooper Spurr. This was sold 26 Sept. 1838.

"He became a minister in the Baptist Church, having been ordained by a council of ministers at Lunenburg in August 1831. He was then appointed to the church at North-West Range for a year. There was a brief pastorate at La Have and then in 1841 he was appointed to the Pugwash church where he served until 1852.
Upon his death, the "Christian Messenger" reported, "His abilities were moderate and his character respectable. He was a man of a quiet retiring dispostiion and somewhat inclined to melancholy. Perhaps this made him feel more sensibly the value of Gospel Comfort, and fitted him to be a son of consolation to others"

In 1821 when Maynard was 26, he first married Catherine Marsden SPURR[3], daughter of Shippy SPURR & Altje VAN VOORHIES. Born in 1802. Catherine Marsden died in Pugwash, Cumberland Co., NS on 12 Mar 1852, she was 50.

They had the following children:
i. Eliza Jane. Born on 22 Feb 1821. Eliza Jane died.
ii. Letitia Salome. Born on 12 Feb 1823.

On 5 Jan 1843 when Letitia Salome was 19, she married Daniel FREEMAN, in Pugwashs, NS. Born in 1815.
iii. Eliza. Born on 2 Feb 1824.

On 24 Jun 1845 when Eliza was 21, she married Abel WILE. Born in 1822 in Bridgewater, NS.

In May 1843 when Hariot/Harriett Sophia was 16, she married Rufus BLACK. Born in 1817. Rufus died in North Attleboro, MA.

On 15 Jul 1852 when Maynard was 23, he first married Ruth TAYLOR. Born on 24 Feb 1826 in Orleans, MA. Ruth died on 16 Jun 1871, she was 45.

On 25 Nov 1872 when Maynard was 43, he second married Mary FENNO. Born on 16 Feb 1841 in Chelsea, MA. Mary died in Boston, Suffolk, MA on 21 Jun 1882, she was 41.
vii. Catharine. Born in 1833 in Lunenburg, NS. Catharine died in Lunenburg, NS in 1860, she was 27.
viii. Sarah Ann. Born on 6 Jun 1837 in Lunenburg, NS.

On 20 Dec 1855 when Sarah Ann was 18, she first married William BOSS, in Amherst Shore, NS. William died in 1865 in lost at sea.

On 18 Sep 1870 when Sarah Ann was 33, she second married William Henry SEAMAN. Born in 1834. William Henry died in Worcester, MA.
ix. Solestas. Born in 1839. Solestas died in 1871, she was 32.[7]
x. Clementina S.. Born on 9 Feb 1840 in La Have, Lunenburg, NS.

On 26 Nov 1861 when Clementina S. was 21, she married Edmond FINLEY[7].
xi. Matilda C.[7]. Born in 1841 in Pugwash, Cumberland Co., NS. Matilda C. died in Feb 1876, she was 35.

On 1 Aug 1866 when Matilda C. was 25, she married Howard PRAY[7], in Pugwash, Cumberland Co., NS. Born in Lebanon. ME.
xii. Modena Frances[7]. Born on 9 Oct 1847 in Pugwash, Cumberland Co., NS.

On 28 Mar 1866 when Modena Frances was 18, she married Capt. James Edwin CROSBY[7], in Chelea, MA. Born in Brewster, MA. James Edwin died in Brewster, MA.

On 10 Mar 1853 when Maynard was 58, he second married Margaret Miller NORWELL[3], in Londonderry, NS. Margaret Miller died on 27 Jan 1863 in Debert, Colchester, NS.[7]

Maria married Luther LEADBETTER[4],[7],[3]. Born on 20 Jul 1790 in Leeds, ME. Luther died in Brookfield, Queens, NS on 23 Mar 1866, he was 75.
