19. John Whitman TUFTS.[1] Born on 20 Jan 1774.[2]

In 1801 when John Whitman was 26, he married Phoebe SCHOFIELD[3], daughter of Arthur SCHOFIELD/SCHOVILLE & Jemima COALDWELL.[2]

They had the following children:
i. Freeman[4]. Born on 8 Jun 1803. Freeman died in 1841, he was 37.

Freeman married Lucy Ann THORPE[4], daughter of Timothy THORPE & Eunice BENNETT. Born on 14 Feb 1801.
ii. Mary[4]. Born in 1805. Mary died in 1859, she was 54.[4]
iii. Orinda[4]. Born in 1806. Orinda died in 1884, she was 78.
iv. Jemima[4]. Born on 25 Jun 1808.

Jemima married William FRYE[4].

vi. Gardner[4]. Born in 1812. Gardner died in 1896, he was 84.

Gardner married Nancy WILSON[4], daughter of Alexander WILSON & Elizabeth SAUNDERS. Born on 8 june 1812/17.[2] Nancy died in 1896, she was 83.

20. Sarah TUFTS.[1] Born on 30 Dec 1778.

Sarah married EATON[1].

They had the following children:
i. Caleb[2]. Born in 1807. Caleb died in 1870, he was 63.[2]
ii. William[2]. Born in 1814. William died in 1831, he was 17.

21. Phoebe TUFTS.[4],[1] Born on 9 Sep 1783.

In 1801 when Phoebe was 17, she married Joseph Brigham BALCOM[4], son of Samuel BALCOM & Mary BRIGHAM. Born in 1774.

They had the following children:
i. Silas. Born in 1802.

Silas first married Ann VAN BUSKIRK.

Silas second married (Widow) AMBERMAN.
ii. Major. Born in 1804.

Major married Mary BOURKE.
iii. Lavinia. Born in 1806.

Lavinia married John REMSON.
iv. Aurelia. Born in 1808.
v. William. Born in 1810.
vi. David Harris[4]. Born in 1812.

David Harris married Mary WILLETT[4], daughter of Joshua WILLETT & Catherine DURLAND. Born in 1812.
vii. Seraphina Ann[4]. Born in 1815.

Seraphina Ann married Paul AMBERMAN[4], son of Douwe AMBERMAN & Rebecca GILLIATT.
viii. Phillis[4]. Born in 1816.
ix. Theresa[4]. Born in 1821. Theresa died in 1845, she was 24.[2]
x. Leonora[4]. Born in 1821.

Leonora married Jacob DURLAND Jr.[4], son of Jacob DURLAND & Lydia BALCOM.
xi. Joseph Allen[4]. Born in 1826.[2]

Joseph Allen first married Ella A. GOWAN[2].

Joseph Allen second married Susan CARMEN[2].
xii. Samuel Judson[4]. Born in 1827.

Samuel Judson married Elizabeth BANKS[4], daughter of John BANKS & Nancy BENJAMIN.
xiii. William Jonas Horton[2]. Born in 1829.

William Jonas Horton married Mary Salome BANKS[4], daughter of John BANKS & Nancy BENJAMIN.

22. Mercy TUFTS.[4],[1] Born on 13 Jun 1786.

On 24 Aug 1809 when Mercy was 23, she married Joseph DANIELS Jr.[4],[3], son of Joseph DANIELS & Mary LANGLEY. Born on 18 Apr 1788.

They had the following children:
i. Simeon[4]. Born on 21 Oct 1810.[4]

Simeon married Caroline THORPE[2].
ii. Phebe[4]. Born on 13 Jun 1813. Phebe died in 1877, she was 63.[2]

Died single
iii. Hannah[4]. Born on 30 Sep 1816.

Hannah married James CHARLTON[2].
iv. George[4]. Born on 26 Sep 1821.

George married Sarah LORD[2].

23. Hannah TUFTS.[1] Born on 24 Sep 1788.

In 1809 when Hannah was 20, she married Samuel LANGLEY[1], son of Nathaniel LANGLEY & Deborah DANIELS.

They had the following children:
i. Helen[2]. Born in 1813.

Helen married David LANGLEY[2].
ii. Alfred[2]. Born in 1818.

Alfred married Ruth Ann PORTER[2].

24. Ann TUFTS.[1] Born on 24 Sep 1788.[4],[2] Ann died in 1862, she was 73.

Ann married Samuel MARSHALL[3], son of Solomon MARSHALL & Hannah KENDALL. Born in 1780.

They had the following children:
i. Rebecca[4].

Rebecca married James MITCHELL[4].
ii. Abigail[4].

Abigail married Robinson PALMER[4].
iii. Joseph[4].

Joseph married Rebecca WALKER[4].
iv. Mary Ann[4].

Mary Ann married John HAWKESWORTH[4].
