On 6 Jul 1865 when Sarah was 26, she married D. A. STEELE, in Canso, Nova Scotia.

Was pastor at Amherst church.

They had the following children:

		i.	Sidney Whitman. Born on 12 May 1866.
		ii.	Noel Bentley. Born on 17 Aug 1867.
		iii.	Caroline Whitman. Born on 11 May 1869. Caroline Whitman died on 19 Jan 1879, she was 9.
		iv.	Allen Davy. Born on 15 Mar 1871.
		v.	Mary Martha. Born on 19 Dec 1872.
		vi.	Warren Merrill. Born on 20 Nov 1874.
		vii.	Sarah Blanche. Born on 13 Oct 1876. Sarah Blanche died on 7 Jan 1879, she was 2.
		viii.	Lavinia Grace. Born on 13 Oct 1878.
		ix.	Walter Everett. Born on 10 Jun 1880.
