Lavinia Hart Whitman

 

Wife of Abram N. Whitman of Canso, Lavinia's photo hangs alongside her husband's at the Whitman House Museum in Canso. She was the daughter of Tyrus Hart and Martha Ingram. Lavinia Hart was sister to Martha Hart, Spinney Whitman's second wife. This photo is a little distorted because of the odd angle I had to use to capture her image without getting the sun's glare across the domed glass of the picture frame.
