Aubrey S. Whitman
This photo of Aubrey was taken about 1940 in Delaware. At that time he was very active and an officer in the Wilmington Photographers Club.
Aubrey had a great sense of humor which was revealed in the way he wrote and illustrated the flyers for the club; he would use comical photos with his hand-drawn pen and ink images of himself and other members on club announcement postcards.
He was nicknamed "Whit" or "Charlie" by his friends and family; the "Charlie"originating from his resemblance to Charlie Chaplin.
