Abram N. Whitman

Abram Whitman, the grandson of John "Deacon" Whitman, carried on his father Abraham's business at Canso. He was known as a vigorous and industrious man and often would take complete strangers into his home as guests if they were in need. Deeply devout, he was known for his afternoon Bible reading sessions which would last for hours. His three sons carried on the business after his death. |
