A Message From PD pd!

Welcome to August and the Summer's End....!

NEW THIS MONTH!

I've Moved!!
If you are accessing this page through NBCI.COM, it will soon no longer be available!

I have secured the domain name of Whitmania, so you can now arrive at Whitmania by typing
www.whitmania.comThere will be some tweaking going on and it's very confusing fixing all the links, and very time consuming, so please be patient and if you find a broken link please EMAIL ME so I can fix it.
Please add this to your favorites! :)

You've probably noticed that this site has been growing. I want to thank each one of you who have had a hand in that.
The
Whitman Family Album is growing larger each month and the articles are coming in steadily. Please email me if you have a photo you can share!

Because of the growth, I've further reorganized this page with
TOPICAL HEADINGS in a "CONTENTS" listing right after this message. I think you will find it's easier to navigate. The articles remain in the same place for those of you who care to scroll through them. If you have any problems finding an article, please email me. I'll be glad to help you.

Now on to WHITMANIA! Enjoy! ....and please sign the guestbook..:) Remember I am always looking for new photos to add to the Whitman Family Album!

pd vacation

I will be on holiday starting August 21...
I will not be able to answer your emails until after Labor Day.
All the best,

~P.D. Crowe

Walt Whitman's Genealogy
An essay on the genealogy of Walt Whitman
Written and contributed by author Brian Whitman

"The Annapolis Valley Whitmans" by Charles B. Whitman
The whole book by Charles B. Whitman
Now Online.. a WHITMANIA! exclusive.

I have finished the retouching of the page images in the "ANNAPOLIS VALLEY WHITMANS" online book by Charles Whitman. What a job! But I'm pleased to find they read better.
Thanks again to Brian Whitman for allowing me permission to put the book online,
and to Arthur Clayton for scanning the images.

You will find the images at THE PAGES. I find it is best to navigate by changing the page number in you browser window if you want to flip through the pages... I. E.: In the browser window it will say 1.htm, or 2.htm etc... just erase the number an type in the page number you want to flip to. This is MUCH EASIER than going back to the index, waiting for it to load, then waiting for the page you want to load again.

Don't forget to check out The "Annapolis" Page. This is the introduction to the book and there's a wealth of information there.
